UPDATED MESSAGE TO THE COMMUNITY REGARDING THE INCIDENT OF JANUARY 17th

This week, Crown Center leadership met with several representatives from the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office including the county’s elected prosecutor, deputy prosecutor, and lead prosecutor on the case. It was an informative meeting, and we appreciate their time and attention to this important matter.
We were encouraged to learn that the prosecution team is thoroughly working through the evidence collected up to this point. They recognize how traumatic this incident was for those affected and are taking their investigation and preparation of a criminal case very seriously. They also shared that the KCPD has been a good partner in this process.
It was comforting to hear about their commitment to this matter and to know they, like we, understand the impact this event has had on our Crown Center community, especially our merchants, visitors, and all who have been affected.
We will continue to cooperate with the police and prosecutors. Thank you for your continued support.
